1531 December, on a barren hill in MEXICO Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to Juan Diego. She asked him to pick roses, which were out of season, and take the roses to the bishop as a sign. Astonished to find them growing, he placed them in his cloak, and he went to the bishop. When he opened his cloak, the beautiful roses fell around them like the beads of a rosary, and the image of Mary, carrying the unborn Jesus within her, was set on the cloth of his garment.Favorites
